For the last few months I have been working with a client in a service industry. When I met with the client their now former CPA had just finished their 2007 business taxes, about 4 months after the already extended due date. Since then I and my team have compiled their general ledger through April 2009 and prepared draft copies of their 2008 tax returns and financial statements.
Why is this a triumph? This client has an opportunity to capture a very lucrative government contract which will require the purchase of several new pieces of equipment. Because they have current financial information they can talk to lenders now and have all their ducks in a row when opportunity knocks.
The current economic conditions present many new opportunities to those businesses who can act fast. The ability to act fast requires that business owners have a team of reliable professionals supporting their journey.
How reliable and professional is your team?
